Chantilly Robotics Participates in the 2019 NoVa Maker Faire
FAIRFAX, VA, June 2, 2019.
Chantilly Robotics FRC Team 612 participated in the Northern Virginia Maker Faire this past weekend at George Mason University. At the Maker Faire, STEAM enthusiasts  in the NoVa community showcased their hobbies, experiments, and projects to an audience of over one thousand attendees. At each exhibit, visitors of all ages learn about STEM and participate in hands-on activities. Team 612 showcased their robot at the event, allowing kids to interact with the robot while teaching parents about FIRST and opportunities for their kids within the STEM community.  Chantilly Robotics impacted students attending the events by showcasing the possibilities in FIRST through programs like FLL, FTC, and FRC.
As Chantilly Robotics Team 612 transitions into the 2020 preseason, they will continue to have weekly team meetings each week throughout the summer. Team 612 will also continue to actively host and participate in outreach events that promote STEM and FIRST, like the Maker Faire.
