We brighten the future for our leaders and student technologists within our team, school, and community through fun and engaging methods of learning and teaching while shining the light on the importance of STEAM.
Our Story
Our Corporate Structure With Subteams
Computer Aided Design
Create 3D models of our robot. These are used to create 2D blueprints for the mechanical subteam.
Create, manage, and run our outreach events, providing opportunities for our team to get involved and make an impact.
Electrical
Create an electrical board, connecting various components on the robot, and giving our robot the power to move.
Use CAD blueprints to fabricate custom parts that are all assembled to make different mechanisms on the robot.
Write all of the software that runs our robot using the libraries provided by WPI in combination with Java.
Outreach
Spread the mission of Team 612 and FIRST values through our engagement with our school, sponsors, and across our community.
Our team’s leadership supports each member in exploring their interests. The chief officers aid in
running our team smoothly, keeping each subteam up to date.

Chantilly Robotics Team 612, now supported by the Chantilly STEM Foundation, participates in FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), an organization that inspires youth to become leaders in science and technology. In 2001, Chantilly Robotics Team 612 was established as part of a six week engineering course project in the Chantilly Academy. Now in our twentieth year, Team 612 has grown to embrace the ideals of FIRST, and has over 120 members, and 10 mentors.
