Chantilly Robotics Team 2019 FRC Build Season Progress 2019 Chantilly Robotics FRC Team 612 had a successful and productive first half of build season and we are determined to continue this success in its latter half. During the first half of build season we made important progress towards building a unique and reliable robot. We finished our chassis and main electrical board to create a strong foundation to build off. We have programmed the basic tools to control the robot and are currently working on vision and testing our code. We submitted the written portion of the Chairman’s Award and have planned a robotics club at Brookfield Elementary School with the administration. Our mechanical subteam is currently working on the components necessary to interact with the objects in this years game. We are experimenting with a unique system of soft robotics in order to maneuver the hatch panels as accurately as possible. Our electrical sub team is focused on adding limit switches and sensors to our electrical board. The marketing sub team is currently developing the Chairman’s video and presentation while keeping in contact with current and potential sponsors. As usual, we release weekly updates on our team’s progress on our robot during the build season until mid- February. Watch our build vlog videos at: https://www.youtube.com/user/ChantillyRobotics612/ Our 2019 goal is to make it to the World Championships in April for the second year in a row.
